Description: An Art Deco sterling silver baby (or toddler) spoon and pusher, these sets were made as Christening presents. The spoon has an egg shaped bowl at right angles to the handle, this is intended to be held by the baby in their fist, enabling them to use the spoon easily. The pusher has a rectangular blade at a slight angle, for the baby to puch food around. Both have a classic ARt Deco handle, with notches and 3 bands. The set comes in it's original felt and silk lined box, the box is in full working order, some scuffing to the exterior. Both are clearly hallmarked by maker Deakin & Francis, the spoon is 1949, the pusher is 1952 with the additional Coronation mark. They are clearly a set, even with the difference in date letters.
